'SK Vibemakers presents... Calibar - The name explains it all
Released: Jan. 2008

Category: (Artist mixtape) UK Hip Hop/Grime

Information: ‘Cali’ as he likes to be called or ‘Calibar’ as he is better known, emerged in the Grime scene in 2003 with his crew ‘Combination camp’ (MCS Wretch 32, P Nire and caps). From doing radio sets on North Londons pirate radio station Heat FM and rave appearances the crew attracted reasonable attention with Calibar being at the forefront. But the following years were to see Calibar concentrate on other things away from music opening the way for partner in rhyme Wretch 32 to get more of the spotlight. 2006 saw Calibar move his attention back to music and in 2007 he released his debut mixtape ‘There not in my calibar’, to good reviews despite limited resources. Despite other MCs, being more predicable and being heralded as ‘the king of grime’, Calibar has held his own in the scene of Grime and rap in his own lane of being the most flyest with the rhymes and having that swagger along with the sharp delivery to go alongside. 2008 can only be a better year for Calibar with him finding his identity in 2007 and his fast ascending evolution as an artist, firstly with the downloadble mixtape with SK Vibemakers entitled ‘The name explains it all’ and his second retail mixtape.
