After bursting onto the scene in 2003 with her group unorthodox and the single ‘No help no handouts’, Nolay has been regarded as one of the top UK underground lyricists…Without putting out an LP (Mixtape or album) Nolay has garnered a lot of respect and quite a strong following. Following up from ‘No help no hand outs’ with Unorthodox, in 2005 Nolay released her first solo single ‘Unorthodox daughter’ off the Run the roads compilation (679) which had many starving for an LP. Having got much needed behind the scenes things in place, 2008 is going to be an important year kicking off with the official download mixtape with the SK Vibemakers ‘The new chapter’. ‘The new chapter’ is the prequel to Nolays retail mixtape ‘No comparisions’ and the singles ‘Bars of truth’ and ‘Things can get ugly’….
‘The new chapter’ contains snippets from ‘No comparisons’ along with exclusive tracks and freestyles and a mini interview.
